Ángel MARTÍN-SANZ was born in Albacete, Spain, where he started his dance studies in 2012, in the Professional Conservatory «José Antonio Ruiz» . One year later he moved to Madrid, where he graduated in the Royal Conservatory «Mariemma» in 2017.

After that he joined Sibiu Ballet Theather, Romania, where he danced soloist and corps-de-ballet roles from the classical repertoire, including Pas d’action in “La Bayadere”, Spanish dance, Mirlitons, Harlequin and Soldier dolls in “The Nutcracker”, Pas-de-paysant from “Giselle” and Colas in «La fille mal gardée» pas-de-deux, among others. He also danced neoclassical and contemporary pieces, originating roles in works such as “Parlez-moi d’amour”, by former Paris Opera dancer Martin Chaix.

In September 2019 he joined the Greek National Opera in Athens, dancing in productions as Jiří Kylián’s «Petit Morte», «Minus 16» by Ohad Naharin, «Carmen» by Johan Inger, roles as Drosselmeyer in «The Nutcracker» or the Neapolitan Dance Trio and lead soloist in the Spanish Dance in Konstantinos Rigos “Swan Lake”, Gamache and Toreros in «Don Quixote» by Thiago Bordin (Hamburg Ballet) and new contemporary works as «W(h)oman», by Eva Georgitsopoulou, «Point of no return» by Ioannis Mandafounis, «Finality» by Linda Kapetanea, «National Adulthood» by Patricia Apergi or “Eclipse” by Harris Gekas. He also danced principal roles as a guest dancer for productions as “Cinderella” in Volos, Greece.

During the season 2023-2024 he joined the Krakow Opera Ballet in Poland, where he danced soloist roles in «Cinderella» by Giorgio Madia, among others. As a choreographer, he created for the company «The apotheosis of a peach in November» and restaged his work «On Behalf of Joy».

In 2024-2025 he toured in Spain with International Festival Ballet Company, based in Munich, dancing their version of “The Nutcracker”.

Since 2017, Martínez works as a choreographer include Al tormento” (2018) and “On Behalf of joy” (2019) for Teatrul de Balet Sibiu, Romania, “Quererte como te quiero (2018) for the XXVIII International-Ballet-Competition in Varna, Bulgaria, “Largo” (2020), “Ahead of us” (2021), “OBOJ” (2022), “Trois fois rien” (2022), “Vals tis anamnisis” (2023) and “The apotheosis of a peach in November” (2024) for the Krakow Opera Ballet, Romania.

As a teacher, Martín-Sanz has been been teaching classical ballet, classical repertoire, pas-de-deux and choreographic workshops in different schools and events around the world, such as Krakow Opera Ballet (Poland), Teatrul de Balet Sibiu (Romania), Dance Athens, Metaxopoulos and Katerina Rodiou schools (Athens, Greece), Christina Thomou (Volos, Greece), CDAM (Madrid, Spain),  Ana Baigorri (Badajoz, Spain), Jándalo (Albacete, Spain).
